I've played hockey my entire life and have always been a die hard Rangers fan. Now that I'm done chasing the dream, I play in a few beer leagues but it just isn't the same as the glory days. I started this blog a little over a year ago and it has since evolved into something I really enjoy. Do I one day aspire to be a professional sports writer? Possibly. My dream job is being a general manager of a professional hockey team. My mood is hopelessly attached to whether the Rangers win or lose on a given night. Puck Daddy lead me to this rumor from NHL Snipers. Now somebody involved is smoking something fierce. We already know Glen Sather has a serious cigar game, but those tobacco leaves wouldn't be causing such an irrational 'proposal'. In all honesty, I shouldn't even be giving this rumor the time of day. But it's pouring outside and there's nothing better to do right now.

Besides the fact that the cap math is nothing short of wack, the Rangers aren't trading two pieces of their young core and two draft picks. The website didn't even try to say the info was from anywhere, an anonymous source, a hallucinogenic drug, nothing. Yes Dany Heatley is a great player, the kind of talent a team can be built around. But he has an enormous contract in tough economic times. In addition he has a questionable character and a limited market. He will not draw top dollar in return for the Sens.

Also Wyshynski recommends that Snoop Dogg can probably find something weaker for you to smoke - doubtful.

I saw this on NHL Snipers a little while ago too and just assumed it was a joke because it's the most ridiculous thing I've read since I last visited Eklund's site smilies/wink.gif
